The preferred unit for routine mini protein electrophoresis and is ideal for SDS PAGE, Native PAGE, Second Dimension and Nucleic Acid separations.

This system is designed to give rapid and simple set up times for both pre-cast and hand cast gels. Gel casting and running utilizes the same insert so there is no need to transfer glass plates during casting significantly reducing the possibility of leakage.

The gel casting insert contains just one screw per clamping bar side allowing very rapid set up. 2mm thick glass plates have bonded spacers for convenience.

The modular format means that accessory electroblotting and 2-D modules can be used in the same tank saving on bench space.

This unit has been especially designed for researchers needing to run a larger number of protein samples over a distance of 8cm. It is ideal for situations requiring comparisons of large numbers of samples on a single gel. A total of 96 samples can be separated in this gel tank!

The simple set up using ultra soft silicone seals guarantees trouble free plate casting and gel loading. 4mm thick glass plates reduce breakage and have bonded spacers.

A blotting module which fits into the gel tank is also available, and the gel can also be used as the second dimension for 2D electrophoresis.
