Cell Culture Media
Geneflow supplies a range of specialised media for
your demanding applications. We are also able to supply custom
media formulations on request. All of our media are produced
according to ISO13485:2003 and ISO9001:2000 standards.
Mouse Embryonic Stem Cell Basal Media
Mouse ES Basal
Medium has been optimized to grow and maintain undifferentiated mouse
embryonic stem cells. The medium may be used with the addition of Foetal
Bovine Serum (FBS) or with any serum replacement designed for mouse ES
cells. The medium contains stable glutamine dipeptide.
Schneider’s Drosophila Medium
Schneider’s
medium was originally developed for the culture of Drosophila; however
it is suitable for culture of other dipteran cell lines
Serum Free Media
DCCM-1 DCCM-2 and LPM
Culture of myeloma and hybridoma cell lines
Monoclonal antibody production
Culture of human lymphocytes (including stimulated or transformed cells
DCCM-1 and DCCM-2 contain BSA whilst LPM is a BSA-free variation.
DCCM-1 contains high protein levels aimed at maximizing cell growth.
DCCM-2 is a compromise between cell growth and antibody production
providing easier purification. LPM is a low protein media <18µg/mL
but has been used effectively for the culture of hybridomas and
lymphocytes.
BIOINSECT-1
BIOINSECT-1 is a serum-free media
optimised for production of lepidopteran insect cells. This
protein-free medium supports both suspension and stationary cultures of
Sf-9 cells with significantly better results than with TNM-FH medium
(supplemented Grace’s) with 10% serum.
Custom Formulations
Geneflow can provide custom formulations of liquid media exactly to the
customer’s specifications. These media are produced to the same
exacting standards as our standard media.
