ProtoGel™ Buffers
The
use of ProtoGel Resolving Buffer and ProtoGel Stacking Buffer will ensure the
purity and performance of your lamelli gels. ProtoGel Resolving Buffer forms
gels of 0.375M Tris-HCl and 0.1% SDS pH 8.8. ProtoGel Stacking Buffer forms gels
of 0.125M Tris-HCl and 0.1% SDS, pH 6.8.
Protein Loading Buffer Blue (2X)
This is a ready-to-use buffer for the preparation of
protein samples to be separated in a SDS-PAGE gel. Loading buffer blue (2X)
contains bromophenol blue as a tracking dye to monitor the sample during the
run. Loading buffer blue (2X) contains 0.5M Tris-HCl (pH 6.8), 4.4% (w/v) SDS,
20% (v/v) Glycerol, 2% (v/v) 2- mercaptoethanol and bromphenol blue in
distilled/deionised water.
SSC Buffer (20X)
SSC Buffer (20X) is a concentrated solution of sodium
chloride-sodium citrate in distilled/deionised water. SSC Buffer is widely used
in nucleic acid blotting and hybridization protocols.
SSC Concentrate (20X) is already in solution, which
eliminates the weighing, mixing, and adjusting of pH necessary with powdered
buffers. To use 20X SSC, simply dilute with an appropriate amount of
distilled/deionised water. The 20X formulation allows for easy dilutions to all
needed concentrations.
SSC Buffer Concentrate (20X) is supplied in 1 litre and 4
litre bottles containing 3M sodium chloride and 0.3M sodium citrate (pH 7.0).
TAE Buffer (50X)
TAE Buffer (50X) is a concentrated Tris-Acetate-EDTA
solution in distilled/deionised water. TAE Buffer (50X) is especially useful in
agarose gel electrophoresis when the DNA of interest is to be isolated after
electrophoresis.
TAE Buffer (50X) is already in solution, which eliminates
the weighing, mixing, and adjusting of the pH necessary with powdered buffers.
To use 50X TAE, simply dilute with an appropriate amount of distilled/deionised
water.
TBE Buffer (10X or 5X)
National Diagnostics' TBE Buffer is a concentrated buffer
solution of Tris-Borate-EDTA in distilled/deionised water. This solution is
widely used in the preparation of nucleic acid electrophoresis gels.
TBE Buffer is already in solution, which eliminates the
weighing, mixing, and adjusting of the pH necessary with powdered buffers. TBE
is ready-to-use as a 10X or 5X concentrate, or it can be diluted with an
appropriate amount of distilled/deionised water.
TE
Buffer (100X)
TE Buffer is a 100X concentrated solution of 1 M Tris-HCl,
pH 8, with 100 mM EDTA. This buffer is the standard for DNA and RNA
purification, processing and storage. National Diagnostics' TE buffer is
produced to the same exacting standards that have made all our buffers trusted
by molecular biologists worldwide.
Tris-Glycine Electro-Blotting Buffer (10X)
Tris-Glycine Electro-blotting Buffer (10X) is a
concentrated solution in distilled/deionised water. This buffer is intended to
act as the tank buffer in Western electro-blotting procedures. It is also the
recommended buffer for use with nitrocellulose and nylon membranes. Tris-Glycine
Electro-blotting Buffer (10X) is already in solution which eliminates the
weighing, mixing and adjusting of the pH necessary with powdered buffers. To
prepare 1 litre of working strength buffer, add 100 ml of Tris-Glycine
Electro-blotting Buffer to 200 ml of methanol and 700 ml of distilled/deionised
water.
Tris-Glycine Electro-blotting Buffer (10X) is supplied in 1
and 4 litre bottles containing 0.20M Tris base and 1.50M glycine.
Tris-Glycine-SDS PAGE Buffer (10X)
SDS-PAGE Buffer (10X) is a concentrated solution of
Tris-Glycine-SDS in distilled/deionised water. This buffer is especially
intended for use as the running buffer in SDS polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis
(PAGE) for proteins. Tris-Glycine-SDS PAGE Buffer (10X) is already in solution,
which eliminates the weighing, mixing, and adjusting of the pH necessary with
powdered buffers.
Tris-Glycine-SDS PAGE Buffer (10X) is supplied as a 10X
Concentrate in 1 and 4 litre bottles. Each bottle contains 0.25M Tris base,
1.92M glycine, and 1% (w/v) SDS.
TTE
Glycerol Tolerant Buffer (20X)
National Diagnostics' TTE Glycerol Tolerant Buffer (20X) is
a concentrated Tris-Taurine-EDTA buffer solution in distilled/deionised water.
This buffer may be used in the preparation of the same sequencing gels that you
are now running, resulting in a glycerol tolerant gel.
TTE (20X) eliminates the band distortion associated with
DNA samples in glycerol. With TTE Buffer (20X), DNA/glycerol samples can be used
without diluting the samples.
National Diagnostics' TTE Glycerol Tolerant Buffer (20X) is
supplied in 1 litre bottles, containing 1.78M Tris base, 0.57M Taurine, and 10mM
Na2EDTA.
